Today, a Tuesday, has been AH-MAZING! I don't think I've ever been on such a high. And get this, it started at work of all places! Lol. So about 9 months ago I started a book club at work called Book club for Professionals geared around personal and professional development. I work for the most amazing organization in the world, U.S. Army where our purpose/goal is to win our nation's war. I work with some great individuals but on a day to day I notice so many not operating at their full capacity. Why, you ask? I honestly think so many have gotten in ruts that they haven't realized they were in and therefore remain unknowingly in those negative loops.
So I started this book club for us to read and dissect leadership and personal growth related books. We meet once a month on a Tuesday during lunchtime. So today, I arrived to only ONE member. The wonderful thing is that I didn't fret. I closed the door and her and I started on time. I had a lesson plan to guide the discussion and I did none of it. We literally feed into one another great stories and antidotes surrounding living a good life.
Well I won't bore you with all of the things we discussed but one thing I have to share. She talked about her miracles list she had within her notes on her phone. Miracle list? Yes, she says these are all the things she has witnessed to in her life and others. She carried the list around so when/if she has a bad day, she refers to list to get her spirits back up and focused on the goodness of God. So for me…I want to do just that, right here. It will always be a finger tap away for me to refer to as well as testimony in a sense of the things I've been blessed with. My goal is to stir within you these exact memories. We ALL have so much to be thankful for so go with me while I list in August, well ahead of turkey day:
